I am pretty buzzed and I felt like doing a miscellaneous post. I haven't done one in a while. You should be aware that I enjoy future funk and I finally bought my first future funk cassette under the name コンシャスTHOUGHTS and oh boy am I gonna shit on this. This tape mixes some okay vaporwave songs with future funk I like the future funk side more. The label Business casual sells these cassettes for 8 fucking dollars. WHAT A FUCKING LOAD OF FUCKERY RIP OFF. I shit you not this so called DIY non profit label sells cassettes for 8 dollars. These assholes are scam artists. I believed they had done pro dubbing but reality is they have not until recently. How are these cassettes 8 dollars? it doesn't even add up. I would consider never buying these cassettes from Business casual or any bullshit vaporwave/Future funk label. They obviously do not know how things work. You are not suppose to make up money on these releases ITS NON PROFIT TO BEGIN WITH. This is the very first tape release by this person. They had done a bunch of crappy vaporwave and some chillwave hip hop-ish beats but this tape is like chilling at the beach. It is not a bad release although the quality is mediocre at best. Not the worst or the best. Too bad shit labels like business casual have to release some decent stuff overpricing cassettes at a price that does not make sense. Most tapes run no more than 6 dollars but its normally at 5 since I am used to that price. コンシャスTHOUGHTS is great though and has done 2 other tapes I do not own and dumb ass people on discogs over charge for these used cassettes at 20 dollars. He has released some solid stuff lately. Noticeably the 2 song ep called Highlights. Anyways future funk is catchy and danceable. My digital download is different than the one from business casual. Mines actually include the 2 bonus songs that are on the cassette.

Vaperror
Such a beautiful day with Long beach receiving rain in May which is a bit unusual. Usually at this time its hot but rain won't hurt. This is another miscellaneous post I wanted to share. So you're wondering "Is this some vaporwave?" the answer is no. Vaperror does more of a hip hop influence that can also be entitled as "Vaportrap" based out of Oregon the guy Jeff did some insane beats over the past few short years. He even wanted me to add him on facebook upon discovering this music piece on bandcamp. I had asked if he had some tapes available but luckily for me he had some off his release called "System delight" which was the second press. He even made me a mixtape for 3 dollars more which contains tracks off the Volume 1.0 mix and a bunch of unreleased songs that did not make it to this compilation sort of release. As for quality of both tapes they are amazing and possibly the best quality of tapes that I have laying around. The bootleg mixtape sounds like its coming straight off the digital release with no hissing or the kbps being at low quality, I was pretty impressed. I discovered Vaperror sometime past fall(Like in October or something like that) through that one video explaining what Vaporwave is and types. I really was liking the atmosphere in the earlier releases off Vaperror. To my understanding Vaperror slowly moved away from the hip hop tone and went back to some sort of odd electronic sound which sounds okay but not the Vaperror I had encountered. He recently released a tape/CD entitled "Acid arcadia" which to me sounds pretty great and beyond different from any bizarre electronic music I have heard. The best explanation is that it sounds pretty futuristic in today's standards. Jeff told me not to share the entire volume 1.0 mixtape he made me (Since it contains unreleased songs that are not out) but the guy unfriended me and I lost in touch with him since then. Perhaps it can be because the only thing we had in common was his music or maybe because I don't agree with the fact that DIY labels should not be selling cassettes for 8-9 dollars a piece (No shipping included) so it would result to about 12-13 dollars a tape. That to me is ridiculous and is just a slap on the face and gives DIY a bad name. I have noticed a lot of these non profit Vaporwave/Future funk labels do not have much experience to the DIY scene that no distros exist, common price on tapes are about the range of 8-9 dollars like I have said and many state its because they need to make back the profit which to me indicates that the whole non-profit deal is just... An insult. Therefore I do not support a lot of these labels because they need to learn more about DIY and that its all for fun and even bigger labels in the game such as Square of opposition has never made much or any profit and in fact lose money because it is never about making up profit but the enjoyment of helping friends release rad records. But all this is a different subject I can ramble on for hours but I won't. Anyways, Vaperror is different and I like different and I really respect Jeff's creativity in his music even though the guy deleted me (or whatever) it isn't some typical stuff being heard around and I feel like his earlier releases such as Mana pool, volume 1.0 and system delight defines what Vaportrap is. You can feel free and check the bandcamp page.

All these fingers
I have some free time today as well, decided not to go to my sexual development class today so I cut that down today. I thought I'd do another of these misc posts, I promise I will keep this one short. if you don't like my instrumental recommendations I am sorry. All these fingers has its own signature style that is far apart from how Mieksneak sounds. ATF has been releasing a bunch of stuff on bandcamp that it's just insane on the many releases. I will also mention them here since I happen to own one tape and a shirt release on one of the lengths as well from ATF. ATF hails from Michigan and not California. The dude has self released a few tapes although I never got any chance to pick any up except for "The canteen tape" which is still available for sell on the bandcamp website. This is another worthy on the instrumental hip hop stuff checking out.

Mieksneak
This will be a tiny new segment I will add from now on. since a lot of these titles are not emo related I will gather them all here on this specific label under Miscellaneous. I have some stuff that is pretty DIY but not in the emo/screamo thing. That being said let me first start off with some introduction, Mieksneak. I caught my eye in the instrumental hip hop stuff sometime in 2011 when I first heard Aly. From there I slowly hopped along the train finding other sources similar/slightly different along with a few labels or specifically one as of now but that will be told slowly. After Aly I found Mieksneak (Out here in California) on bandcamp and had 3 releases at the time (The first one was removed from the bandcamp) in the second release I noticed one of the songs is from Kendrick Lamar's song "Bitch don't kill my vibe" I am very sure Kendrick used the beat to this song since that wasn't released until 2013 and the Mieksneak album in 2012 of the summer. Mieksneak got more of my attention with it released the 4th length titled "Joint" which were in very limited cassettes. Unfortunately for me it sold out so fast I didn't get a chance to get one. About 2 years since the release of "Joints" Mieksneak released a 5th length called "Sneak tape" which has a bunch of ideas he never planned to release "This is a collection of beats I never really planned on releasing, some old an some new, I guess its sort of a sound collage of the passed couple years of my life. Nothin special, not an official release." I was able to get my hands on the tape before it sold out. Although I see Mieksneaks mature sound grew within this release. The songs on the tape are not split individually so its a simple Side A and Side B track list (About 15 minutes each side). Mieksneaks latest release called "W/ Codeine" has got to be the finest looking tape to be released. It is clearly the greatest looking tape ever and to be self released Mieksneak really out did himeself into self releasing these tapes in a form of a red bottle prescription in the size shape of a cassette case with your name on it and information on this so called "Prescription" this is clearly the nicest looking tape that has come out this year. Mieksneak's W/ Codeine offers the excellent instrumental hip hop musician ship I have ever run into with such powerful beats that it lets the beats do the feels.
