I have been busy but here is the last one for October. November-December will be reviews. Until next year! This might have been a lastfm band I found in 2008. Allegory of the cave was a mid 00's screamo band that was a 2 piece from Florida. They did a 7 song demo, a compilation on a 7" and a split 7" with spectres before changing their style and name to Cheer up! When the band changed to cheer up their music evolved and they honestly sounded better. As Cheer up the band self released a CD known as 10 song EP. The band shortly ended after some time. Cheer up stands out more than Allegory to me. Cheer up had a more fast pace pumped up beat sound with some math rock vibe inserted with some screamo. Hell, the production quality on that CD is the best from all the releases put out. One thing I know is that they played a show with Cassettes on fire sometime in 2008 as Cheer up. As for Allegory, their memorable songs comes off the split 7". The demo CD is pretty shit quality and too raw. It is not bad to listen but its kinda all over the place. So if you like the "all over the place/raw" screamo the demo will do you some good. I would love to see a label put out Cheer up 10 songs on vinyl. It is one of the memorable self released albums from my day. Since most of their stuff wasn't on any labels the only thing I was able to get from this band was their split 7".
